WEST ALLIS-A 17 year old West Allis man has died from injuries he suffered in a crash that police say his friend caused.

17 year old Ryan Petri succumbed to injuries he suffered Thursday after the car he was riding in hit a Waukesha County Sheriff's squad car early in the morning in Brookfield.

According to Facebook postings, Petri's friends are trying to raise money for the young man's funeral.

The 18 year old driver from St. Francis was arrested for alleged drunk driving.

Online court records indicate the charges have now been upgraded to include homicide.

The two deputies who were in the squad when it was hit suffered back and facial injuries. They have since been released from the hospital.
