Suspicious item causes bomb scare in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN—Authorities responded to a bomb scare in Sheboygan Saturday night.

A passerby spotted a suspicious item on the sidewalk near 8th St and Michigan Ave around 9:45 p.m. and called police.

Sheboygan Police and the Milwaukee County Bomb Squad responded and determined that the object was an inert regulator that is normally buried underground.

Police said that there was never any danger to the public.
