Suspects arrested in armed robbery of tow truck driver
MILWAUKEE—Milwaukee police have arrested three suspects in the August 13 armed robbery of a tow truck driver.
The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. in the 4900 block of W Meinecke.
Tyrone Lesuerr and Marc Newell have been charged in the armed robbery and charges are pending against a 19-year-old Milwaukee man until further investigation.
The suspects are accused of taking the victim’s phone, iPad, and wallet while one suspect was armed with a 20 gauge shotgun.
Officers tracked the iPad to a store on 35th Street.
The clerk indicated that the iPad was bought from the suspect for $75.
Officers used surveillance video provided by the store to identify the suspects.
The suspects were arrested and a search warrant was executed at the home of one suspect which led to the recovery of the shotgun.
