Sue Black named grand marshal of gay pride parade

The Milwaukee Pride Parade is delighted to announce the Grand Marshal of the 2013 Milwaukee Pride Parade, Sue Black! Below is a short biography about Sue, as well as a headshot which can be used for any purposes you may require.

"Sue Black brings her passion for excellence, community, and kids to the Milwaukee Wave professional soccer team as their new Owner/ CEO. She is also thrilled with leading the organization's charitable arm - Wave of Hope.

Often described as a visionary, Sue's career has focused on transforming lives and places. She has broken glass ceiling after glass ceiling. Leading the longest running soccer franchise in North America and the with 6 World Championships this is her dream come true.

Sue prides herself on excellence. She was a dynamic Director of Milwaukee County Parks after serving as Director of Wisconsin State Parks and the Arizona State Parks System. Under her direction, the Milwaukee County Park System received the National Recreation and Park Association's Gold Medal Award for excellence in Management.

Sue is thrilled to join the Wave team, driven to take it to new heights and helping the community through the Wave of Hope.

Sue was born and raised in Milwaukee and is proud to be a UW Badger with her Masters degree in Education.
