West Allis High School student taken off life supportWEST ALLIS - A 16-year-old Hale High School student was taken off of life support recently after an incident a few weeks ago. Corey Stingley was accused of shoplifting at a convenience store at 92nd and Schlinger on December 14th. Some adult customers restrained him until police arrived. Officers noticed Stingley wasn't breathing and began CPR. The boy was taken to the hospital and placed on life support because of brain injuries. His family says the shoplifting incident was a misunderstanding. They decided to take him off life support on December 29th. He died several hours later. Funeral services for Stingley will take place on January 5th. |
