2013 Wisconsin State Fair begins tomorrow
by Chris Patterson

WEST ALLIS -- Hard to believe this is the 162nd celebration of the Wisconsin State Fair. And for those who are from here, or maybe not, we all know this is a summertime rite of passage.

One day out from the big event and the finishing touches are being put on everything. From rides to the ridiculous amounts of food vendors (of course if food isn't your thing).  There are hundreds of places to satisfy your hunger.
One of the biggest specialties might have to be cream puffs. 30 to 35 thousand are made every day during the fair.  365 thousand during the entire event itself.
And of course you can't forget about what the fair was founded on more than a century and a half ago.  It's a place to showcase the animal side of you.  Or the one beside you.  Ready to win the blue ribbon prize.
State fair organizers assure the public there wll be plenty of security in place to keep everyone safe.  Also no one 17 or younger will be allowed in the gates after 5pm without a parent or guardian.
Of course everything you need to know about the state fair, including a new monkey exhibit and duck race, can be found clicking on the attached link.
