Community forum on Affordable Care Act
MILWAUKEE -- As part of the agency's 25th anniversary, The Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin hosted a community forum on the Affordable Care Act, Thursday night.
More than a hundred people attended and asked questions about the new healthcare law. Questions surrounded things like eligibility, enrollment and if coverage will truly be affordable.
"It's major, especially for our young black men because I know a lot of them are unemployed, they don't have health care, they have conditions and it's on going," said attendee Carolyn Allen.
Allen has health insurance now but knows what it's like to be without. She wanted to get information to pass along to other people. Click here for information on the Affordable Care Act from the Black Health Coalition. Click here for access to the federal ACA website.
