Small victory for Sheboygan Co. DAHomicide case against two teens moves forward
SHEBOYGAN CO. --- The case against two teenaged boys is moving forward. The preliminary hearing will be held Tuesday afternoon after a judge denied a motion from the defense earlier that morning.
Antonio Barbeau and Nathan Paape, 13, are accused of killing Barbeau's great-grandmother, Barbara OIson, 78, on September 17th in Sheboygan Falls. Police said the two boys stole Olson's jewelry, loose change, and car, and then went for pizza. They are charged with homicides as adults. Defense attorneys for the two boys requested discovery, meaning documents like police reports, witness statements, and more to give them more time to prepare. This is because of the unusual nature of the case, specifically pertaining to the age of the boys and the seriousness of the alleged crime. The judge denied their request. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.. Watch CBS 58 News for updates. |
