Slick morning commute
MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- Central and northern Wisconsin got several inches of snow on Sunday, but in Milwaukee County, drivers have been dealing with freezing rain.
On Monday, the wet weather made for a messy morning commute. So far, weather conditions in the city have not prompted salting or plowing, but city officials say they are as ready as they can be if that changes. On Friday, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett visited the Department of Public Works facility to look at equipment that will be used. Officials say they have 108 salt trucks ready to go for the first snowfall. |
