Milwaukee police investigate shooting on city's south side

MILWAUKEE --- Milwaukee Police are investigating after a 49-year-old man was shot on the city's south side. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Thursday night in the 2000 block of Layton Ave. A witness on the scene says a car driven by the victim was in the median.

Police believe the victim may have suffered the gun shot wound at another location and drove to the area where the car ended up in the ditch.

Police are continuing to investigate this incident. The man is expected to surive his injuries.
