WAUKESHA -- Waukesha parents show up in force to a public meeting worried about plans for a new cell phone tower and how it will affect their children's health. Several parents showed up to let the school board know they oppose a cell phone tower at Bethesda Elementary School.

Plans call for a 100 ft. tower to be built right next to the elementary school. Several parents in attendance pointed to studies that suggest so much exposure to low level radiation can be dangerous.

The school district stands to gain $30,000 from AT&T for using the school as a site for its new cell phone tower. A vote from the school board is scheduled to take place on October 9th.
