Sentencing for deadly hit and run crash

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- A man accused of hitting a woman in West Allis and leaving her for dead in the middle of the street, will hear his sentence on Thursday.

Jesse Steinmetz pleaded no contest to a charge of deadly drunk driving in October.

Police say he ran over Mary Jane Moore earlier this year at 81st and Greenfield, then took off.

Moore's son died in a separate accident the same night when the car he was driving in crashed while he was on his way to the hospital.
