MILWAUKEE-- The Milwaukee Police Department announced that the two young missing children have been found safe.

The girls were dropped off at Milwaukee Police District 5 by a concerned citizen Sunday afternoon.

The sisters, 9-year-old Samaria Johnson and 4-year-old Olivia Erkins, were last seen around 11 p.m. Saturday at their north side home near 55th and Center Streets.

Police said that it appeared as the children took their winter coats with them when they left the home.

Milwaukee Police said that they continue to investigate and thanked the media for getting the story out.
