School on lockdown after gun threat from studentBROOKFIELD --- Fairview South School went into a lockdown Thursday morning after a student made a threat about bringing a gun to school. This all happened before school started around 8:20 a.m. The district spokesperson, Anne Moore told CBS 58's Matt Doyle that staff learned about the threat from other students on Wednesday. Moore says the police were called and half a dozen squads were waiting at the school Thursday morning for the student to arrive. Upon the students arrival he was taken into custody and his car was searched. Police did not find a weapon and say there is no threat to the school. The school was on lockdown of about 30 minutes. Classes have since resumed for the 60 special needs students.
