Residents escape 3 alarm fire that destroys Burlington home
BURLINGTON—Firefighters responded to a 3 alarm house fire in Burlington late Friday night.
The massive fire broke out just before midnight at a home near Johnson and State Streets.
A neighbor called 911 saying that she heard a large boom coming from the home.
There were two people inside the residence at the time that the fire broke out who were able to escape.
One exited out of the front door while the other jumped from a second story window.
The person who exited through the door was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
A firefighter was also taken to the hospital for dehydration.
Thirteen agencies assisted with the fire.
The home is believed to be a total loss.
