Republican Rockstar Volunteer
Mother of two, Michelle Schroeder of Janesville sits behind a desk at the Republican campaign office from morning until night.
"She gets here at nine in the morning and stays until nine at night everyday," says volunteer, Terry Vaughn. One day, she made about 1,300 calls to voters asking if republicans can count on their support, according to a campaign organizer. She makes it happen using four phones at the same time. "I can be pressing the buttons as I am talking to someone else," says Schroeder. In the past month, she reportedly made 25,000 campaign calls, that's likely the most calls by a volunteer in the state. CBS 58's Elizabeth Fay introduces us to Schroeder who explains why she spends hours behind the phones. |
