Racine Snow EmergencyRACINE -- The Commissioner of Public Works has declared a snow emergency for the City of Racine. The snow emergency is in effect until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday. When it comes to snow removal, according to the city website, the owner of each parcel of real estate in the city abutting or bordering upon any street or other public place shall remove or cause to be removed all snow and ice from the sidewalk in front, along the side of, or adjacent to such premises to the full paved width of such sidewalk, within 24 hours after such snow or ice shall have fallen or accumulated thereon.
