Racine PD warns of predator outside middle school

RACINE---On Thursday at about 3:45 P.M. an attempted child enticement occurred near Republic Avenue and Ohio Street.

A 12-year-old-boy was walking home from Starbuck Middle School when a newer model, gold colored Mercedes-Benz, SUV type vehicle, pulled across the sidewalk, blocking his path.

The driver of the vehicle then made sexually oriented motions to the victim, and spoke briefly with the victim.

The victim then ran away from the suspect vehicle. The suspect's vehicle then left the area, southbound on 21st Street.

A few minutes later, a 17-year-old male was walking near 17th Street and Ohio Street, when the same vehicle and suspect pulled up alongside him.

The suspect made several sexual oriented comments to the 17-year-old, then drove away eastbound on 17th Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, 27 to 35 years old, with a chubby face and neck, wearing a brown leather coat.

The vehicle is described as a gold colored Mercedes-Benz SUV type vehicle.

Parents are reminded to speak to their children about talking to strangers and never go with anyone they do not know.

Parents should report any suspicious persons or activity to the Racine Police Department.
