SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN -- Many people have already chosen a designated driver for the New Year's holiday or decided to take a cab, but not everyone will be sober behind the wheel.

Extra officers will be driving around the freeways and side streets looking to bust drunk drivers.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is in the midst of a crackdown that targets several counties across the state, including Milwaukee.

There were about 35,000 drunk driving convictions in Wisconsin last year and alcohol-related crashed killed 225-people.
