Watertown Police make arrest in Heather Stewart homicide investigation

WATERTOWN -- Watertown police made an arrest in the investigation surrounding 28-year-old Heather Stewart's death. Stewart was found dead in a vehicle on May 30, 2014, around 9:03 a.m.

Police say they've arrested a 32-year-old male Waterloo, WI resident in connection with Stewart's death. The suspect is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail.

Watertown police report Stewart died as a result of a gunshot wound. Watertown Police Chief Tim Roets says this homicide investigation is very active.

Police are asking for anyone with information of what happened near the former Pick n Save building between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on May 28 to call 920-261-6660.
