Police investigate two shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE-- Milwaukee Police are investigating two late night shootings.

The first happened around 9:40 p.m. Friday near 81st & Hampton.

Two Milwaukee men were returning from a trip to a nearby gas station when they were approached by two males.

One of the males were armed and they attempted to rob the victims.

The two victims tried to run away and that's when they heard gunshots.

One of the men, 42-year-old, was shot.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Milwaukee Police are still investigating this incident.

Then around 12:15 a.m. Saturday four males were riding in a vehicle in the area of 25th & Burleigh when shots rang out.

One of the passengers, a 16-year-old male, was wounded when a bullet entered the vehicle.

While fleeing the area of shots, the driver lost control and crashed the vehicle near 27th & Hopkins.

The 16-year-old was taken to a local hospital.

He is currently in stable condition.
