Police investigate separate shootings on same block

MILWAUKEE --- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that happened on the same block just hours apart overnight.

The first incident was around 9:00 p.m. Police were called to the 3000 block of W. St. Paul for a 21-year-old man who was shot.

The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police do not have any suspects in custody.

Police were called back to the same block around 1:40 a.m. for a 20-year-old woman who was shot. She was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect in this shooting knew the victim and is in police custody.

Both incidents are still being investigated.
