MILWAUKEE—The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the death of a 7-day-old boy.

Police were called out to an apartment in the 4000 block on N. 61^st St. where the boy lived with his parents around 4 a.m. Monday.

The baby boy was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office siad that initial reports indicate the infant was co-sleeping with his mother on a couch.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.
