MILWAUKEE -- A 24-year-old man was shot early Wednesday morning near 16th and National Ave. Police say the man was shot after an altercation by an unknown gunman. The victim was treated at an area hospital for his wounds.

The victim was arrested after being released from the hospital for a drug violation. Milwaukee police continue to investigate the shooting.
