Bar employee shot in overnight shooting

MILWAUKEE--Milwaukee Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a bar.

Officers were called out to Monkey Bar near 1st Street and Lapham around 2:50 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a suspect fired several rounds into the closed bar from the street. A 35-year-old employee of the bar was shot once in the hand.

The suspect then fled from the scene.

Police say that they know who the suspect is, but the individual is not in custody yet.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released.
