MILWAUKEE-- Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) supporters take fundraising to new heights once again. Over the Edge returned to Milwaukee this morning, Friday, September 13 at 9:00 a.m. Cause-conscious thrill seekers rappel down the side of The City Center at 735 located in downtown Milwaukee.
"For the 4th year, the Special Olympics staff is thrilled to share our excitement for this event with the entire city of Milwaukee," said President and CEO of SOWI, Dennis Alldridge. "We invite spectators to come out to The City Center at 735 to cheer on the 'edgers' and take part in the day's festivities."
Last year, more than 60 edgers rose to the occasion and raised money for SOWI, a statewide organization which provides nearly 10,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competition in approximately 180 communities across Wisconsin.
