MILWAUKEE-An online sale ended in a shooting Wednesday night near 14th and Vogel, west of the airport.

Police say a 19 year old man arranged to purchase some ammunition from a seller he met online.

When the seller arrived he tried to rob the teen who ran and was shot as he tried to get away.

He suffered non life threatening injuries.

Milwaukee police are warning residents about the danger of online arranged transactions.

In a prepared release on the investigation, the police department offered this:

"Any seller who wants to meet a prospective buyer on the street and not a public space should be looked at as suspect."
