Driver pronounced dead after Waukesha accident

WAUKESHA -- Two vehicles were involved in a fatal car accident early Sunday morning in Waukesha. Waukesha Police was notified of a crash in the 1100 block of E. Moreland Blvd. One of the two vehicles involved in the crash collided with a tree.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Waukesha Police Department, but early indications show that speed was a factor. The names of those involved in the crash are not being released at this time/

Both eastbound and westbound Moreland Blvd between Whiterock and Manhattan Drive were closed for several hours.
