One displaced after fire in Sheboygan County

ELKHART LAKE -- A 65-year-old woman is without a home tonight after a fire broke out Sunday morning in Elkhart Lake.

It started just after 9:00 a.m. Sunday monring. Police recieved a call from a utility worker who reported seeing smoke coming from the roof line of a home on County Road A near the Town of Rhine. 

The Elkhart Lake Fire Department responded along with several other fire departments and began to work on getting the blaze under control. 

The sole resident of the home, 65-year-old Sharon Mauk was displaced from her home as a result of the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting her.
