One dead after car strikes tree

RACINE --- A 31-year-old man is dead after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree in Racine County.

It happened just after 9:00 a.m. in the 4100 block of CTH K. Investigators determined the man had drifted onto the shoulder of the road and overcorrected causing his vehicle to travel across the lanes.

The vehicle went into the ditch and struck several trees. The driver was thrown to the passenger side of the car and was partially ejected.

The man died on scene. His  name is not being released pending notification of family.

He was not wearing a seatbelt.
