Milwaukee police investigate fatal crash near 92nd & Chester
MILWAUKEE -- One person is dead after an accident near 92nd & Chester. Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. People in the area discovered a car that had crashed sometime in the middle of the night.
Investigators with the Milwaukee Police Department say the driver of a minivan went off the road, hit a light pole and a fence. The driver died at the scene.
According to Lieutenant Mark Stanmeyer, the driver is a 20-year-old man from East Troy. His name has not been released yet.
Chester Street was closed for awhile during the morning commute while officers investigated the crash.
