WAUWATOSA -- Benjamin Sebena, husband of slain officer Jennifer Sebena, has been arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Benjamin has been through intake court, and bail has been set for $1 million.

Police say Jennifer Sebena was shot several times on Christmas Eve near the intersection of Underwood and Harmonee in Wauwatosa. Officers began to search for Sebena when she didn't respond to the dispatcher shortly before 5:00 a.m. She was dead by the time officers were able to locate her.

Information surrounding the details of the investigation of Jennifer Sebena's death on Christmas Eve have yet to be released.

Sebena had been with the force for two years and was married to Iraq War veteran Benjamin Sebena. The couple shared a home in Menomonee Falls.

People looking to honor Sebena's memory set up the Remembering Wauwatosa Police Officer Jennifer Sebena Facebook page.

There's also a memorial fund to pay for her funeral. Donations should be sent to Focus Credit Union branches.
