Oconomowoc elementary school accommodates transgender child
by Chris Patterson

OCONOMOWOC -- The Oconomowoc Area School District announced their solution to restrooms at an elementary school where a transgender child is a student. The school district says their accomdation recognizes the needs of all students in the district.

The district says parents raised concerns regarding the use of school bathroom facilities by a transgender child. In a release the district called the parents concerns legitimate, and began work towards an appropriate solution.

The district's solution is to provide a gender-neutral restroom in the school where the transgender student attends. Students of both genders will be allowed to use this bathroom.
