by WDJT Assignment Desk

MILWAUKEE --- Members of the Occupy the Hood movement met in Darius Simmons' neighborhood Sunday.

They braved the cold to march in the place where the 13-year-old was shot by his elderly neighbor.

The group remembered Darius while chanting, "What's his name...Darius Simmons."

The group has expressed outrage over the treatment of Simmons' mother the day he was killed.

Occupy the Hood works to shed light on what they call a pattern of police brutality thoughout the city and community.
