Oak Creek police chief meets with President Obama about gun control

WASHINGTON D.C. -- After dealing with a mass shooting at the Sikh Temple, Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards was invited to the White House for a meeting with the President about gun violence.

During the meeting President Obama said, "No group is more important for us to listen to than our law enforcement officials and so I welcome this opportunity to work with them to hear their views in terms of what would make the biggest difference to prevent something like Newtown or Oak Creek from happening again.

Chief Edwards joined the chief's from Newtown, CT and Aurora, CO, communities that all experienced mass shootings in 2012. The President says he wants the three chiefs to help convince congress to pass stricter gun laws.
