New high rise building planned for Milwaukee skyline
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee's skyline will be changing in a couple of years. Northwestern Mutual will unveil plans for a new high rise to replace an ailing 16-story building.
The company will reveal the plan Thursday. The new Northwestern Mutual building would be 30-stories tall and one of the largest office buildings downtown. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports this is a $300 million project that will seek about $48 million from city financing. The developer who unveiled plans last summer to build a 44-story apartment and hotel complex 2-blocks south of the site tells CBS 58 he is thrilled with the prospect of another tower nearby. |
