New effort to reduce violence in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - A group of people are bringing a new approach to help reduce violence in the city. It's called Community Reconciliation. Anti-violence activists are teaming up with the faith based community, educational leaders and police to spread a message of peace.  The group gathered at a church at 40th and Center Saturday and released 75 balloons into the air. Each one symbolizes a life lost to violence in the city this year alone. They then walked through nearby areas hit hard by violence. They stopped at specific locations where violent acts took place to let residents know people do care and are working on solving the problem.
