Investigators working new leads in officer shooting
WAUWATOSA -- Police issued a statement Christmas day saying they are working on leads in the fatal shooting of officer Jennifer Sebena.
Wauwatosa police say investigators are working with a "person of interest", and continue to pursue several investigative leads. The 30-year-old officer was found dead by a fellow officer near a fire station in the pre-dawn hours of Christmas Eve. Officers had been looking for her after she failed to respond to dispatch calls around 3:00 a.m. while on solo patrol. In the December 25th statement police said: The Division of Criminal Investigation and the Wauwatosa Police Department continue to investigate this horrific crime. DCI continues to lead this investigation and, we are currently pursuing multiple investigative leads. This investigation is on-going and we will keep you posted with further developments.
