MILWAUKEE -- Tall Tree Foods, a west-coast investment firm, purchased Klement's Sausage Company and promises to keep the company's plants and offices in the City of Milwaukee.

The promise is good news for the 500 employees who work at the Milwaukee sausage making facility.

Klement's Sausage Company has been in family hands since it started nearly 60 years ago. CEO Ray Booth will continue to lead the business and management team in Milwaukee.

The new ownership plans to build national recognition for the Klement's brand.

No information related to how much the company sold for has been released.
