New flooding concerns

for the second time in as many weeks, residents watch the river

THIENSVILLE-Barricades were put in place Tuesday night at the entrance to Village Park.

This is the same area where the Milwaukee River spilled over its banks last week.

Although the river is below flood stage right now, the rain over the next couple of days is expected to change that.

"Normally there's a good 3 feet from the top of the dam to the river," resident Pam Johnson told CBS 58's Tiffany Tarpley, "and there's maybe a foot now"

"I worry about the  businesses," she continued, "the local businesses and stuff. But I've seen that they've been sandbagging and they've kind of been through it before. So, they know what to do."
