NEW BERLIN -- A New Berlin man is happy to be alive after a drunk driver slammed into his home. A truck operated by a drunk driver hit a tree before crashing into the home around 2:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Randy Polich says he was sitting in a chair against the wall when a truck hit his house. He says he was just a few feet away from the impact. Polich tells us he was flung from his chair, but only received a few bumps and bruises.

The 44-year-old drunk driver has six previous drunk driving offenses. He was arrested for causing injury while operating while intoxicated.
