BROOKFIELD---"I came back home to Wisconsin and started spending more time with Jen and our love flourished. We started spending more time together and I asked her if she would spend the rest of her life with me."

And so goes a 2010 video that Ben Sebena did for the Elmbrook Church in Brookfield.

Ben Sebena is the husband of slain officer Jennifer Sebena who was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the morning of Christmas Eve.

She had been on overnight patrol and didn't respond to radio calls from dispatch.

In the video Ben Sebena talks about how his involvement with the church helped him with PTSD like symptoms, also known Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

"After Jen and I got married we came to Elm Brook," Sebena said.
"My faith in Jesus Christ developed..likewise my faith in my marriage was growing more and more. "

In the two years that followed since the making of the video, Jennifer would go on to graduate from the academy. She completed field training for the Wauwatosa Police Department.

Just this past November she successfully finished her probationary period for solo patrol.

Now the home she shared with her husband in Menomonee Falls has been under constant police watch and guard.
