One injured in construction zone accident on Hwy. 26

DODGE COUNTY -- Hwy. 26 has reopened after an accident involving multiple vehicles blocked all lanes of traffic around 8:55 a.m. We're told one person was injured, and was transported to a local hospital via Flight for Life.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Department, a Grand Caravan ws traveling south on Hwy. 26 in a construction zone. The Caravan slowed while approaching a heavy equipment entrance on the highway. The Caravan was hit from behind by a semi-truck, sending the Caravan into the northbound lanes. The Caravan hit a Ford van that was heading north on Hwy. 26. The Ford van traveled in the east shoulder and struck a construction worker.

The construction worker was transported to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life. No other injuries were reported in this accident.
