MOUNT PLEASANT -- A local family suffers the loss of a family member on Christmas Day after a house fire that is now being investigated as a homicide.
Police pulled a body from the Mount Pleasant home that needs to go through DNA analysis, but a Kenosha family says the body belongs to 21-year-old Bianca Vite.
The fatal fire now being investigated as a homicide has neighbors confused, because they say nobody lived there. Neighbor Ernesto Saldana says, "It's been empty for a while."
Mount Pleasant police are still looking for answers in this case. They interviewed a person of interest, but no charges have been filed.
As the Mount Pleasant Police Department works to find a killer, the Vite family makes preperations for their final farewell. Bianca Vite's funeral is planned for December 30th from 3pm-7pm at the Pisasecki Althaus Funeral Home in Kenosha.
