CALEDONIA-The count keeps going up. There are now 80 dogs, 9 cats, and 2 pigs in the care of the Wisconsin Humane Society.

All of the animals were seized from the same animal rescue in Racine County.

"Two of the dogs have significant medical injuries," Angela Speed of the Wisconsin Humane Society said Friday. "We are very concerned about the outcome of those two dogs."

The entire situation brings tears to the eyes of a worker who was with the Orphan Kanines Shelter several years ago, before the new owner who is now under investigation for neglect.

"The old owners were nice and this just isn't fair," Lori Spaulding told CBS 58 News. " If she couldn't do it then ask for help. It just broke our hearts."

CBS 58's Lila Carrera has more.
