More Fallout from Fire and Police Commission Meeting
MILWAUKEE---Dozens of angry residents and activists lashed out at the fire and police commision Thursday night.
They were angry about the reinstatement of an officer caught on tape punching a female handcuffed suspect. Commission members announced at the meeting Thursday that they would reconsider that 2-1 decision. Now, Alderman Bob Donovan is taking issue with the reconsideration. He says the protestors builled commission members. "It appears they are going back to reconsider simply based on demands from certain politicians," Donovan told CBS 58 News. "I call it a mob because the behavior of some of them was appalling as far as I'm concerned." The commission meets next week to reconsider the case of the officer who struck the female suspect. The meeting will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Room 301-A at Milwaukee City Hall. |
