Milwaukee police respond to fight involving around 50 people

MILWAUKEE --Milwaukee police responded to a large fight near 36th and Locust St. around 2:00 p.m. Police said around 50 people were involved in the fight and shots were fired.

A 17-year-old girl was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

"I was just crying cause it was shocking to see somebody get shot I ain't never saw that before," explained a witness.

Although CBS 58 witnessed people cuffed and in the back of police squad cars, a spokesperson for MPD said no suspects are in custody.

Witnesses said the fight started as a result of a another recent fight at Sherman Park.
