At approximately 3:30 p.m., a 48-year-old man went into a hospital with a minor gunshot wound claiming that he was shot during an attempted robbery, that witnesses say happened in the in the 2900 block of W. North Ave. Police say the victim of this shooting was highly intoxicated and uncooperative at the time of the initial investigation, making it difficult to get accurate details regarding the incident.
At approximately 4:40 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot while seated in a car in the 5100 block of N. 60th St. after an argument with a known person standing outside of his vehicle. At least one accomplice of the person with whom the victim was arguing fired shots, striking the victim, who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m., a 41-year-old man was shot and seriously injured inside of a business in the 3700 block of W. North Ave. The circumstances leading to this shooting have not yet been determined.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot inside of a residence in the 2400 block of S. 5th Pl. He suffers a non-life-threatening injury. The circumstances leading to this shooting have not yet been determined.
At 9:40 p.m., a 48-year-old man was shot in the 1200 block of W. Wright as he attempted to run from an armed robbery of another victim. The robbery victim was not injured; the shooting victim sustained a non-life threatening injury.
All of these incidences are currently under police investigation.
