Candlelight vigil for fallen Wauwatosa officer
WAUWATOSA--Dozens of people from neighboring communities gathered Friday evening to remember a fallen Wauwatosa officer.
Peace for Change Alliance, based in Milwaukee, organized a vigil that was held in the parking lot of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. The location is just steps from where Jennifer Sebena's body was found on Christmas Eve morning. Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber said the department has received many cards of support from across the nation and the vigil was just another step in the healing process. "I think it's uplifting for all of us because sometimes you feel like you're on an island and you're all alone and to know that so many people care I think that's good for anybody certainly our department," he said. Sebena's husband is charged in her murder. |
