Milwaukee day care worker charged with possession of child pornography

MILWAUKEE -- 39-year-old Louie Flowers of Brown Deer is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, after co-workers discovered images on his iPhone.

Flowers was the lead teacher at Silver Spring Neighorhood Center, and court documents say he used one of his two iPhones to play music for the children. According to the criminal complaint, his co-workers were made aware of the pornographic pictures on his phone by the children at the daycare.

The complaint says students found the pictures of a naked girl, and brought the phone to an assistant teacher. Milwaukee police were called to the scene while Flowers was out of the building, and arrested him when he got back.

Milwaukee police conducted a search of Flowers' home in Brown Deer and found more child pornography on his computer. If convicted on both counts of possession of child pornography, Flowers faces up to 50 years in prison.
